Jentebølgen 5K

When we got back from the USA, I was able to participate in a 5K with my school called the Jentebølgen. It is a race that happens annually in a town called Drammen. It was a girls only race :). Jentebølgen actually translates to "girl wave." There was a large group of girls from school that participated. We all rode in a large charter bus there, and had matching t-shirts. :) Before the race started, everyone participated in doing ZUMBA--so you know I loved it. There were a few women on stage that lead the giant group of girls in a few songs for a warm-up.  The race route was beautiful-near a river, through a park, and nice views all around. Afterwards, everyone was given a medal, gift bags, and a Norwegian rootbeer (not a fan)/banana(am a fan).  It was good bonding experience. We then got to go eat PIZZA as a school. Eating out here is not a norm, so I throughly enjoyed. After all, we did deserve it after our run... right? Ha. Let's just say it was delicious. Everyone had a wonderful time.
